Patients may pay for services using cash, check, debit cards, or person-to-person payment systems. I do not accept credit cards for ethical reasons--feel free to ask.
I am in-network with Cigna Behavioral Health and Blue Cross/Blue Shield (and Magellan). For those insurance plans where I am out-of-network, such as Aetna, Healthnet, and Anthem, I will submit the claims electronically on your behalf. However you may have a deductible or co-pay which I will collect at the time of service.
There are some sliding scale slots for those in financial need, who do not have health insurance and cannot afford the standard fee of $150 per session, and some flexibility in fees for those wishing to come more often than once a week.
If you plan to seek third party reimbursement, please contact your insurance company prior to the first session and ask the following questions:
- What percentage of my bill will be paid for services obtained from an out-of-network provider (all but Cigna or Blue Shield/Magellan)?
- How many sessions will be covered per calendar year?
- Do I have a deductible, and does it apply to behavioral health claims?
- What is my co-payment?
